First, the position you choose is very important. Normally the position in the right side of the dealer is very strong. We often call this position cut-off. If you sit here, you can get more chances than other people to win or avoid loss. Second, you will have a poker face, which means no matter what kinds of cards you have, you won't let your opponents know your cards from your face. Otherwise, they will raise more or fold earlier. But if you are really good at changing your face, maybe you can cheat your opponents. Sometimes you can get success in this way, but if people know you, it will be difficult to control. So the best way is keeping a poker face. Last, when you decide to fold, call or raise, look at your cards in you hands first. If they are bigger than ten, you can hold them. Otherwise, unless they are a pair or same suit, you'd better fold them.
